First fruit seeds contain cyanide

TEHRAN - Seyed Zyaeddin Mazhari, a dietitian, tells Fars News Agency that some people eat first fruits like greengage and green almond without noticing the fact that they contain cyanide.
Cyanide compounds exert negative effects on red blood cells making their consumption harmful to body, he says.The dietitian adds a heavy weight is put on stomach by taking greengage along with any kind of unripe fruit.
If first fruits like green almond ripens and changes to almond they will contain very valuable nutrients which supply needs to minerals, amino acids and proteins, the dietitian explains.
Mazhari says those who are stuck by severe abdominal pains, must avoid eating first fruit seeds.
